Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent generation of slide between a fixing roll or a press contacting roll and a copying paper by coupling the fixing roll with the press contacting roll through a power conduction mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a copying operation is started, a shaft 1a is driven to rotate a fixing roll 1 in the clockwise direction. Then, a sprocket wheel 5 rotates in the same direction and a sprocket wheel 6 also rotates in the same direction as that of the rotation of the wheel 5 through a chain 7. A copying paper 12 conveyed from a transferring part is fed between the roll 1 and a press-contacting roll 2 and is press rolled with strong pressure, then a toner image is fixed onto the paper 12. When the paper 12 is brought to a halt due to the generation of slide between the toner image side of said paper and the roll 1, the paper 12 is still conveyed due to the friction acting between the roll 2 and said paper 12, therefore, eventually, the slide is not generated between the roll 1 and the paper 12.
