Abstract

PURPOSE: To stop the opening of a throttle valve at excessive rotation of the engine and limit the car speed by arranging a control device to a mixture adjusting throttle valve provided in the intake passage of an internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: The valve shaft of a throttle valve (not illustrated) is connected to a rod 11 to which a claw wheel 2 having multiple number of groove is attached via a lever 12. A claw 6 is provided in an electromagnet 3 opposite to the grooves of the claw wheel 2. The magnet 3 is energized by a speed switch (not illustrated) to move the claw 6 upward to engage with the groove at excessive rotation of an engine thereby forcibly stopping the movement of the throttle valve.
