Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop a transporting mover at a correct position by providing the mover with a mechanism for detecting the present position so that a cargo work is accomplished when the address corresponding to a preliminarily set destination is coincident with the present position. CONSTITUTION:A rack 2 of a storehouse has load placing portions 11. The rack plate 13 of each placing portion is provided with a notched hole 43 having a suitable length at the front thereof, which is detected by a detector 44 mounted on a carrage 7 of a stacker crane 1. When a cargo work is performed by an automatic operation, a rough address set value 26 and a fine address set value 40 corresponding to destination set in a cart are picked up from a memory 25 to compare the present position address of the crane with the set value 40 in an arithmetic circuit 39. If both are coincident, the crane is stopped. Thus, the crane can be stopped with high accuracy to accomplish a cargo work.
