Abstract

PURPOSE: To promote the availability of a cargo-loading apparatus and the storage efficiency of loads using shelves by inputting a detected-result signal of a preoccupation detector into a microcomputer as the control signal for a stacker crane.
CONSTITUTION: A shelf 1 in a storehouse is provided with divisions on the front and rear sides for storing cargos 2 and 3 in parallel with a stacker crane which moves horizontally. On an elevating body 6a, there are provided a fork 5 to be extended to the rear side and a fork 4 to handle a load on the front side. To take out the load 2 on the rear side, at first, the load 3 on the front side is taken out by the fork 4, and the load 2 on the rear side is successively taken out by the fork 5, then the load 3 being returned to the former position. In this construction, detected result signals from a preoccupation detector 7 and a positioning device are input into a microcomputer as controlling signals for the stacker crane 6. The computer is provided with a program to output signals for the crane 6 on the basis of these detected signals.
