Abstract

PURPOSE:To continuously return liquid fuel in the tank from between the both pipes in such a way that a surge tank which is installed on the air inlet path in an engine and maintain fluidic inertia of the mixed air is formed by two concentric pipes. CONSTITUTION:An air inlet path 6 which is provided with a carburetor 15 is communicated through a reed valve 13 to an air inlet port 7. An expansion tank 21 is communicated as a surge tank through a branch pipe 18 at the upper part of the air inlet path 6. The branch pipe 18 comprises an outer pipe 19 and an inner pipe 24 which are arranged concentrically, and a gap 26 is formed between the both pipes 19, 24. In addition, the inner pipe 24 is formed jutting into the tank 21, and when the air inlet port is closed, mixed air is taken through the inner pipe 24 into the tank 21 by inertia. And liquid fuel which is separated in the tank 21 is drained through the gap 26.
