Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A material information signal is inputted by a process computer to a function generator 42; the output of the function generator 42 is inputted to a breadth changing rate computer 44, which then adds an output signal of loopers 31W35 to its input, and computes the breadth changing rate due to the change of the tension; then, the computer 44 inputs thus computed breadth changing rate to a tracking device 50. Meanwhile, a rolling schedule signal is inputted to the tracking device 50 through a spread rate computer 46 and a forward slip computer 48.
