Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a continued rotation of the load in the wake of power failure by a method wherein stoppage of power supply from a power source for ordinary use introduces an auxiliary power source into the circuit thereby creating braking effect. CONSTITUTION:Interruption of power supply from an ordinary power source 1 opens a contact point 11 and closes a contact point 12, thereby supplying the output of an auxiliary power source 10 to a field system 7. Then a contactor 4 is closed, causing dynamic braking to occur. Regenerative braking is created when connection is established with an auxiliary power source 21 in case of interruption of supply from the power source 1 used under ordinary conditions. This setup prevents the load from a continued rotation when the ordinary source stops supplying power.
