Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an air conditioner utilizing latent head absorbed when water is evaporated, by attaching a means for absorbing latent heat of steam at one end of a turning shaft of a motor constructed as a heat pipe so that said one end of the shaft may serve as a heat source section of the heat pipe, also attaching a ventilating fan at the other end of the shaft so that said other end of the shaft may serve as a heat releasing section, and locating these two end portions of the shaft respectively on the inside and outside of a room to be air-conditioned.
CONSTITUTION: When a motor 9 is turned, air in a room to be air-conditioned is drawn from an inlet port 25 by a fan 12 as shown by an arrow Fi and discharged into the room from an outlet port 26 as shown by an arrow Fo in the drawing, on the indoor side 2. On the outdoor side, on the other hand, a latent-heat absorbing means 15 is rotated for absorbing water in a water container 16 and evaporating it along with rotation of the means 15. Resultantly, a heat source section 14 is cooled and a turning shaft 8 of heat pipe is set into operation for absorbing heat from intake air Fi at a heat absorbing section 11, so that air Fo supplied into the room is cooled. By thus utilizing latent heat absorbed when water is evaporated it is enabled to obtain an air conditioner having a high energy-saving performance.
