Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a draft fan from being damaged and improve the durability of the draft fan by a method wherein the draft fan for hot air heating to induce the combustion air by negative pressure is provided above a combustion chamber and yet a backflow preventing meansis arranged between said combustion chamber and the draft fan.
CONSTITUTION: The air for hot air heating is supplied with a fan 2 driven by a motor 1 from a suction port 12 and past through the gap between an outer casing 3 and a flow shaping plate 4 and then discharged from a blow off port 8. At this time, the negative pressure is generated within the combustion chamber 6 by inducing the combustion gas in combustion chamber 6 due to the ejector effect caused by the air passing through the gap between the outer casing 3 and the flow shaping pate 4. As a result, due to the differential pressure between said negative pressure and the atmospheric pressure, the combustion air is supplied into a burner 7 from the lower part of the burner 7. The high temperature combustion exhaust gas induced by the air for hot air heating is mixed with the air for hot air heating and then discharged from the blow off port 8 for hit air heating.
