Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a fixing device of a short rise time from turning on of a power source by allowing copying paper to contact by pressure an electromagnetically induction heated magnetic material by means of working rollers. CONSTITUTION:A primary winding 31 is wound on the primary side 32a of a core 32 formed in the square shape of a boosting transformer 30 and further this winding 31 is held covered with an insulating blank material 39, so that part of the magnetic flux generated by the primary winding 31 passes through the inside of the core 32 but the remaining magnetic lines leak from the core 32 and pass the space. Hence, alternating magnetic fields are generated in the space near the transformer 30, and magnetic plates 40, 41, 42 are placed in these magnetic fields. Since eddy current flows in these plates 40-42 made of iron or the like and the plates evolve heat, the heat of the plates 40-42 is directly transmitted to a blank material 43 having good heat conductivity.
