Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently take out an explosion energy of a burning gas as a turning energy by providing a long stroke for a piston and closing a suction valve while the piston is moving to a bottom dead point at a suction stroke of an engine. CONSTITUTION:An engine 1 contains a piston 3, a combustion chamber 4, an ignition plug 6, a suction valve 9 and an exhaust valve 10. At a suction stroke, the suction valve 9 is opened to supply a mixture until the piston 3 reaches a point A before its bottom dead point. When the piston 3 reaches a top dead point at a compression stroke, a compression ratio is not raised so high due to a little amount of the sucked mixture. At an explosion stroke, an effective work is increased due to a long stroke of the piston, thereby fully converting an explosion energy of a burning gas applied on the piston 3 into a turning energy.
