Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance abrasion resistance as well as selectivity to acrylonitrile of a catalyst by specifying a range of Mo, Bi, Sb, Mg, Fe, Si or the like constituting said catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: A composition of a catalyst used in preparing acrylonitrile by ammoxidation of propylene is specified in a range of a formula MoaBibSbcMgdSifOg (wherein X is one or more of Fe, Cr or Mn, when (a) is 10, (b) is 0.1W10, (c) is 0.01W8, (d) is 0.1W10, (e) is 0.01W5, (f) is 10W50, (g) is naturally defined from constitutional elements but, usually, 30W80). Said catalyst is obtained by a method wherein a slurry containing each constitutional elements is spray dried to be formed into a fine particle and the formed particle is backed at about 500W700°C. Said catalyst has a high acrylonitrile yield as well as is not almost abraded and finely divided when filled in a reactor and excellent in abrasion resistance.
