Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease an nformation recording error, by irradiating an optical disk with an error detecting optical flux as well as an information writing optical flux, and detecting in advance an part which becomes an error in case when information is recorded. CONSTITUTION:To a disk 1, information is written in order from the inside circumference. A write beam from a writing light source 5 is irradiated to the disk 1 through an optical system 4, a read beam is irradiated to the disk 1 through a reading optical system 7 from a reading light source 6, and its reflected ray is recorded in a recording device 9 through a photodetector 8. When an error detecting light beam is irradiated onto an unrecroded track of the disk from an error detecting light source 11, and its reflected ray is recorded in an error recording device 13 through a photodetector 12, an error detecting optical system 10 controls the writing light source 5 by said recorded contents so that information is not written in the error part of the disk.
