Abstract
PURPOSE:To monitor the damage conditions of apparatus at all times and prevent accidents by measuring the temps. and pressures of fluids, measuring the temps. at the evaluation points of the respective apparatus and calculating the total life in strength thereof in accordance with the measured values. CONSTITUTION:As the data (temps. and pressures) for fluids that are basis for diagnosis, the respective temps. and pressures of main steam 5, high pressure exhaust gas 6, reheat steam 7 and extraction steam 9 are taken, and as the evaluation points of apparatus, the temps. at plural places of the inside and outside surfaces of a casing are taken. Namely, in the case of a steam chest 3a of a turbine casing, thermocouples 11a, 11b, 11c are respectively for measuring temps. in suitable places of outside surfaces and thermocouples 11d, 11e are respectively for measuring temps. in their central part and the deep part near reheat steam RS. Metal temps. are measured at the inside and outside surfaces and in the central part of plate thickness by these, whereby thermal stresses are calculated with high accuracy and accidents are prevented.
