Abstract

PURPOSE: To heat a low temperature exhaust gas treated by a wet type denitration process to a temperature suitable for discharging it into the atmosphere by utilizing a untreated high temperature exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: The high temperature exhaust gas from a boiler is pressurized by a blower 2 and is supplied into a gas cooler 3. The cooled exhaust gas is then supplied to a wet type denitration apparatus 14 where the temperature of the gas is lowered and the low temperature exhaust gas from the apparatus 14 is further supplied to a gas heater 15 so as to be heated to a high temperature and is discharged into the atmosphere through a chimney 17. In this case, high temperature water circulating through the heater 15 is obtained from cooling water circulating the cooler 3. With the above structure, it is not necessary to provide a heating source separately and the low temperature exhaust gas can be discharged into the atmosphere after it is heated to a temperature suitable for its discharge into the atmosphere, therefore the generation of secondary pollution can be avoided.
