Abstract
PURPOSE:To generate a superior sine-wave output voltage by constituting a sinewave generating circuit by using an up//down counter, a resistance ladder circuit and a clipping circuit. CONSTITUTION:A comparing circuit 9 constitutes a clock oscillator 3, generating a prescribed-period clock signal, together with resistances and a capacitor. An up/ down counter 16 counts the clock signal of the oscillator 3 and generates outputs Q0-Q3 synchronizing with the clock signal. Then, output terminals Q0-Q3 are connected to weighting resistances 24-27 of a resistance ladder circuit 23 through diodes 19-22. The resistance values of the resistances 24-27 are determined in 8:4:2:1 proportion and a clipping circuit 30 is connected to the connection point 31 between the respective weighting resistances and a reference resistance 28,thereby obtaining an output close to a sine wave at an output terminal 31.
