Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of intergranular corrosion and the local break of a lattice body, by rendering the maximum length of a crystalline granule perpendicular to the surface of a lead lattice body to be less then 1/2 of the size of a lead lattice body. CONSTITUTION:Lead positive lattice material made of lead or lead-alloy which does not contain antimony or contains a very little is casted, then machined, and heat- treated to form a lead lattice body. The maximum length of the crystalline granule perpendicular to the surface of the lead lattice on this lead lattice body is rendered to be less than 1/2 of the size of a lead lattice body, and the minimum length parallel to the surface of the lattice of a fine crystal which constitutes the crystalline granule is rendered to be more than 1/3 of the maximum length of size of the crystalline granule in the same direction.
