Abstract

PURPOSE: To purify exhaust gas and improve fuel consumption by generating a swirl of intake air through an injection nozzles longitudinally larger than its bore located at the downstream edge of an auxiliary air intake passage from which the gas is ejected combustion chamber in a combustion chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A main air intake duct 5 to be connected to a carburettor 8 and an auxiliary air intake passage 22 to eject air in a combustion chamber 4 are arranged. Speed-up of combustion is possible by sufficiently increasing intensity of intake air swirl through an injection nozzle 22a located at the down stream edge of an auxiliary air intake passage 22 and making the injection nozzle 22a longitudinally larger than its bore.
