Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the speed of and stabilize the flame propagation in an internal combustion engine by constituting same such that an auxiliary suction passage having a small cross section is disposed in a suction passage adjacent to a suction valve in order to introduce auxiliary suction air at a high speed into a combustion chamber thereby to produce high speed vortex flows therein.
