Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve an engine brake effect by dividing a multi-carburetor into more than two parts in each of which the property of a throttle opener connected to each carburetor's throttle valve is different from each other and an auxiliary air mixed into fuel or the like is controlled properly.
CONSTITUTION: Primary and secondary throttle openers T1, T2 which open respecitive throttle valves to specific degrees along with a suction negative pressure supplied from a negative pressure take-out hole 15 of a carburetor C2 are connected to throttle valves of primary and secondary carburetors C1, C2, respectively. An operating negative pressure of the opener T2 is preset higher than an operating negative pressure of the opener T1 and a degree of which the throttle valve of the carburetor C2 is opened by the opener T2 is preset greater than a degree to which the throttle of the carburetor C1 is opened by the opener T1. In each carburetor C1, C2 an air bleed passage 51 as an auxiliary air passage connected to a fuel passage branches off into two passages 51a, 51b on the upper stream side. In the passage 51a is disposed a control valve 54 which is closed when a negative pressure over a certain value is supplied into a working chamber 59.
