Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a picture recorder capable of reproducing a picture right after image pickup operation while eliminating the need for a mechanical shutter and optical processing, by generating a transfer pulse succeeding to an exposure pulse through operation of a switch and applying it to an image pickup device. CONSTITUTION:An object's image is put in focus by adjusting a lens 1 to form the object's image on the surface of a solid image pickup device 2. Then, a switch 16 is operated to make a trigger generator 4 generate a trigger, which is applied to a clock generator 3; and the generator 3 generates an exposure pulse 11 and a sequence of transfer pulses 12, which are applied to the image pickup device 2. At this time, the pulse width of the pulse 11 is equalized to a value preset to an exposure time setter 5 and while this pulse 11 is applied, charge corresponding to the quantity of light is accumulated in the image pickup device 2 to output te charge, accumulated by the pulse 12, to an amplifier 7 in prescribed order. Then, the object's image is recorded on a magnetic recording device 8 without using a mechanical shutter and optical processing.
