Abstract

PURPOSE:To catch broadcasting electromagnetic waves surely, even with time delay for D/A conversion without lowering the speed of automatic sweep by helping the operation of an AFC circuit, through shifting the tuning frequency to a low frequency side compulsively. CONSTITUTION:A signal starting automatic sweep from a switching means 1 is received at an automatic sweep controlling circuit 2 and a pulse signal is applied from the circuit 2 to an up-down counter 3. After a digital output counted at the counter 3 is converted into a DC voltage at a D/A converter 4, it is applied to a varactor diode of an electronic tuner to sweep the tuning frequency of the tuner 5 to high frequencies. An automatic frequency fine adjusting circuit 6 is operated, and when the tuning frequency is shifted to high frequencies to the digital output of the counter 3, a count-down means 7 is actuated. The tuning frequency is compulsively shifted to lower frequencies by helping the operation of the circuit 6, allowing to catch broadcasting electromagnetic waves without suppressing the speed of automatic sweep.
