Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise the respondence of a print needle driver with consumption of lesser electric power as well as eliminate the need for a buckling preventing means for the print needle for simplifying the structure of the driver by using a plate spring for the driving of the print needle instead of electromagnetism and also using a short needle of small mass. CONSTITUTION:When a coil 10 is not energized electrically, a print needle 2 is attracted by a core 6 by means of the magnetism of a permanent magnet 8 through a plunger 1 against the force of a plate spring 3. When the coil 10 is electrically energized in such a way as to generate a magnetic flux directed in the opposite direction of the magnetic flux generated in the permanent magnet 8 by a printing command, the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 8 is erased, and the print needle 2 is driven toward a recording paper 13 by means of the force of the plate spring 3. Thus, driving force at the beginning of driving is maximized but minimized at the end of driving, and the high-speed movement of standing object is made advantageously. Also, the print needle can be made shorter because it is not pierced through the core 6.
