Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable relatively long magnetic drive of an electromagnetic actuator by changing the polarity of stationary and movable magnets and obtaining the driving displacement of the movable magnet by the combination of the attraction and repelling between the magnets. CONSTITUTION:Movable magnets 5, 6 are mounted on an operation sleeve 3 slidably engaged with a guide rod 2, and a stationary magnet 11 connected to a stationary member 1 is disposed via the sleeve 3 and a gap 12 between the movable magnets. The facing polarities of the magnets 6 and 11 are set at S and N, and the facing polarities of the magnets 11 and 6 are set at S and S. Then, attracting force and repelling force are simultaneously generated between the stationary and movable magnets, and the sleeve 3 will move leftwardly. When the polarities are changed to S, S and N, S, the sleeve 3 will move rightwardly. In this manner, high driving force can be entirely secured thoroughly.
