Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the respondence of a wire dot printer and the quality of printing by keeping the tip of a wire printing element in a weakly vibrated state all the time for a wire dot printer operating while changing the tip of the wire printing element to the right angled direction of spacing. CONSTITUTION:A signal corresponding to letter pattern put in wire magnet driving circuits 131 to 13n from a printing control circuit 12 is printed through a wire magnet 2 by timing pulse from an oscillator 8, where, however, dots of even numbers are printed under a condition such that the element is shifted to the right angled direction of the spacing by a shift magnet 3. In such a method, the wire element is always kept in a weakly vibrated state with a small amplitude (approx. 1/2 of that during the normal printing period) according to signal from a dividing cirlcuit 9, and when printing signal from a printing control circuit 12 is sent out, a given amplitude can be soon kept by a pulse amplitude switching circuit 10.
