Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a highly sensitive reagent for the measurement of agglutination that can be stably preserved, by a method wherein inorganic carrier particles treated or not treated with a tannin tanning agent are made sensitive by bio-active substance, and this substance as together with a stabilizer and if necessary a dispersing agent, dispersed in an aqueous medium. CONSTITUTION:A reagent for testing of agglutination is prepared by using activated or unprocessed inorganic carriers made sensitive to serological active substances (such as an antigen or antibody) by employing condensing type tannin (quebracho, etc.) and hydrolytic tannin (chestnut, etc.), or a synthetic tanning agent or the like as hydroxide, oxide, inorganic salt or complex salt or complex salt particles such as water soluble or hardly insolube Ca, Zn, Ti, Zr, Hf, etc.; abd by suspending a preserving stabilizer such as glycerol and a dispersing agent (non-ionic surface active agent) in a buffer solution of glycine salt. The reagent offers excellent preserving stability and shows particularly excellent results of judgment when used for the measurement of various agglutination of serum under test.
