Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the welding work of the coil strand for the subject armature by a method wherein the end of either of the inner and outer coil of a double cylindrical coil is protruded than the other coil and at this protruded section, a laser beam is irradiated and the inner and outer coil strands are welded. CONSTITUTION:After the inner cylindrical coil has been formed by winding a sheet- type coil strand in a spiral shape and also the outer cylindrical coil has been formed by winding in reverse direction the same sheet-type coil strand in spiral shape, the inner and outer cylindrical coils are cut to the perscribed size. Then, one of the strands of the inner and outer coils is protruded from the end face of the other coil and after an insulating covering 4 has been peeled off, a laser beam is irradiated on a coil strand 3, a nugget is bridged between the strands and then a welding is performed.
