CONSTITUTION:Gaseous H2 and H2O are introduced into a furnace loaded with ferrous sintered materials from the outside, and the pressure P(water)/P(hydrogen) in the furnace is controlled between 0.05-0.6. Further, pulsation is applied to the gaseous (H2O, H2) pressure to be introduced at this time. As a result, Fe3O4 is formed down to the inside of the connecting holes near the surfaces of the ferrous sintered materials. Thereby, sufficient retaining of airtightness is made possible despite the mechanical removal of the films of Fe3O4 on the surfaces.
