Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the movement of a steering HANDLE and the movement of a self-running body conform with each other, by permitting the steering handle to move forward and backward in a horizontal plane and to turn in the plane thereby the self-running body can be moved forward or backward by the forward or backward movement of the steering handle and turned rightward or leftward by the turning of the steering handle.
CONSTITUTION: To an attachment plate 4 secured to a post 3 on the carrier 2 the operation manipulating mechanism 1 is mounted. To the steering handle attached to said mechanism 1, forward and backward movement photo-sensors 27, 28 are provided capable of outputting signals by detecting the forward and backward movements of the steering handle, and a variable resistor 7 capable of outputting a signal by detecting the amount of turning of the steering handle. The signals from the detectors 27, 28, 7 are outputted to a controller 30 to control a running driving section 31 and a power steering mechanism 33 thereby to operate driving wheels 32 and steered wheels 34.
