Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide highly accurate inspection, by a method wherein a pair of needles are pierced in a living body under test and pulse light is sent from a transmission end and an element installed in the other needle is used to receive the light to detect a pressure wave or a sound wave. CONSTITUTION:The tip of a probe 12 for measuring photo-acoustic spectroscopic inspection in an endoscope 1 is projected into a living body 35. By using an operating knob 26, a pair of needles 19, 20 are allowed to be projected from the opening of a mantle tube 10 and piece into a portion 36 under inspection in such a way that they reach a morbid portion 36. Pulse light is conducted to a morbid portion 37 from the end of light transmission 25 via a light conductor 27 from a light source 29. A pressure wave or a sound wave from the pulse light radiating portion is received by an element 26 buried in the portion under inspection. Its output signal is led to an amplifier 32 by means of a signal line 32 and the signal synchronous with a chopper 31 is retrieved and recorded in a recorder 34. By so doing, highly accurate inspection becomes possible.
