Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a large amount of the titled substance by implanting a cell derived from human capable of producing the titled substace to a body of a warm- blooded animal other than human, or propagating it while being supplied with the humor of the warm-blooded animal, followed by making a prolactin inducing agent act on the interplanted cell.
CONSTITUTION: A cell capable of producing human prolactin, e.g., an acidophilic cell of human anterior lobe of hypophysis, its tumorous cell, etc. is implanted to a body of a warm-blooded animal other than human, e.g., a bird, dog mouse, nude mouse, rabbit, etc. Or, the cell is propagated while being supplied with the humor of the warm-blooded animal. A prolactin inducing agent, e.g., reserpine, lysine, sodium chloride, etc. is made to act on the prepared interplanted cell, to give human prolactin. Induced and formed human prolactin is collected by a well-known purification and separation method, e.g., salting out, centrifugation, etc.
