Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the life of relay contacts longer by transmitting a wire feed instruction signal to a thyristor gate circuit for controlling a wire feed motor after a constant time since a welding start signal.
CONSTITUTION: When relay contacts 3a, 3b are closed at the start of welding, the base current of a transistor 7 flows but on account of the time constants of a capacitor 9 and a resistance 8, the TR7 goes on by having a time lag from the relay contacts 3a, 3b. The instruction signal of a wire feed instruction signal circuit 6 is transmitted to the gate circuit 4 of a thyristor 2 for controlling a wire feed motor 1. This results in that the instruction signal is transmitted to the gate circuit 4 after the motor current circuit of the thyristor 2, the motor 1 and the relay contacts 3a is formed. Hence, a time difference is provided between the bouncing time at the closing of the relay and the conduction time of the motor start currnet and therefore the life of the relay contacts is made longer.
