Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve reliability by connecting control transistors for the 1st and 2nd control circuits between a load and a DC current source to control only one transistor when the other transistor gets out of order. CONSTITUTION:Control transistors 2 and 7 for the 1st and 2nd control circuits are installed between a load 3 and a DC current source 1 and a switch 12 is closed at normal status; an output voltage detecting circuit 13 outputs an opening signal to the switch 12 when the voltage of A of the circuit 13 exceeds the voltage of B of the circuit 13 only by a fixed value and outputs a closing signal when the voltage is reduced under the fixed value. If the 2nd transistor is conducted because of failure, it is decided that the voltage of A of the circuit 13 exceeds the voltage of B of the circuit 13, so that the switch 12 is closed. Thus, even if the 2nd transistor 2 is conducted, the output voltage can be controlled within a required voltage by inserting a voltage dividing resistance.
