Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the stop timing at the intermittent feed of a tape, by moving a tape path through the movement of a guide pin at noiseless slow motion playback due to the intermittent feed and changing the detection timing of a playback control signal. CONSTITUTION:At a slow motion playback by the intermittent feed, a guide pin 14 is moved to a position 14'. Thus, a magnetic tape path between video heads 5 and 6 and a control head 7 is made longer as shown in dotted lines. A magnetic tape 13 runs through a loading pin 15, video head 6, loading pin 16, guide pin 14', control head 7, pinch roller 12, and capstan 11. Thus, te detection timing of a playback control signal to a video head position is changed and the control signal is picked up in a desired timing.
