Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled hot-dipped steel sheet by coating a steel sheet manufactured by a continuous casting method and through an ordinary steel sheet manufacturing process with a layer of Ni and/or Co by electroplating and by coating the sheet with a Pb-Sn alloy by hot dipping. CONSTITUTION:A steel sheet manufactured from molten steel by a continuous casting method and through an ordinary steel sheet manufacturing process for surface treatment is pickled with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid or the like for a short time such as <=10sec. The pickled sheet is washed and coated with a layer of Ni and/or Co having 0.030-1.00, especially 0.050-0.50mu thickness by an electroplating method. The electroplated sheet is then dipped in a molten Pb-Sn alloy bath. The preferred Sn content of the bath is 1-30%. Thus, a dense alloy layer is formed on said sheet to obtain a Pb-Sn alloy hot -dipped steel sheet with high corrosion resistance.
