Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively suppress the temperature rise at the winding connected section for the subject electric machine by a method wherein the outlet section of a ventilating tube is covered by the end section of the coil whereon a ventilating tube is provided in longitudinal direction leaving a space between them and a part of the cooling air is turned to the opposite direction and is feeded to the winding connected section. CONSTITUTION:The ventilating pipe 4 is installed in longitudinal direction between each strand column on the upper coil 2a and the lower coil 2b, and when an aperture is provided at both ends of each ventilating pipe 4 at the winding connected sections, an U-shaped guide member 10 is fixed at the winding connected section on the outlet side of the ventilating pipe 4 in such manner that the outlet of the ventilating pipe 4 is covered maintaining a space between them. Also, a cooling air discharging passage is formed by fixing an air guide pipe 14 on the inner surface of the upper coil 2a and the lower coil 2b at the inner end section of the winding connected section. Through these procedures, portions E and F of the cooling air exhausted from the ventilating pipe 4 is turned to the opposite direction when the air came into collision with a guide member 10 and it is discharged after cooling a winding connected section 7, thereby enabling to suppress the rising of temperature at the connected section.
