Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a steam pressure loss due to bleeding regulation valves, by providing partition plates which have openings and extend in a turbine casing and perpendicularly intersect the axis of a turbine and by using the bleeding regulation valves to open and close the openings to cause steam to flow in the same direction as the stream lines in the casing.
CONSTITUTION: A rotor 13 provided with rotary blades 12 is housed in a turbine casing 11. A plurality of partition plates 21 are arranged in the casing 11 so that the plates 21 perpendicularly intersect the axis of a turbine. Each partition plate 21 is made annular and is provided with arc-shaped openings 22 in positions which correspond to the rotary blades 12. Bleeding regulation valves 23 are provided upstream to the partition plates 21 with regard to the flow of steam so that the openings 22 are covered with the valves 23. Each valve 23 is made of an arc-shaped plate, one end of which is pivotally mounted by a reamer bolt 24 or the like to define a clearance of Δl and the other end of which is coupled to one end of a rod 26 by a pin 25. The other end of the rod 26 is pivotally connected by a pin 28 to a swing lever 27 coupled to a hydraulic unit 29, so that the vlve 23 can be actuated to increase or decrease the cross-sectional area of the openings 22.
