Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure good interchangeability with a general-purpose alkaline cell or the like in a 1.5V class discharge voltage and excellent storability in an organic electrolyte cell of which negative pole active material is light metal, by using CuFeS2 as a positive pole active material. CONSTITUTION:A positive pole compound 4 formed by prssing and a separator 5 made of unwoven fabric are put in a cell case 1, and a negative pole lithium sheet 3 is fixed by pressing on the inside of a mouth sealing plate 2. A button shaped lithium cell is made by sealing up the opening portion of the cell case 1 with the mouth sealing plate 2, interposing a mouth sealing ring 6. In the cell, CuFeS2 (existing in the natural world as chalcopyrite) is used as a positive pole active material, and the positive pole compound 4 is made by further mixing graphite powder which is a conductive material. Otherwise, a solution in which lithium perchlorate of 1mol/1 is dissolved in a solvent made by mixing propylene carbonate and 1,2- dimethoxy ethane equally in volume is used as an electrolyte.
