Abstract
PURPOSE: To disturb the generation of gaseous carbon dioxide and prevent the production of algae in a settling tank by suspending magnet materials and magnetic materials by means of suspending members by leaving constant intervals into the water in the settling tank, and inducing magnetic induction lines in the water.
CONSTITUTION: Suspending members 4 are installed in the upper part of a settling tank 1, and hook members are mounted to the lower part thereof, after which magnetic materials 3 and magnet materials 2 are suspended alternately by leaving constant intervals along the flow of the water in the tank 1. This induces magnetic induction lines in the water in the settling tank, thereby considerably disturbing the generation of gaseous carbon dioxide, closing the photosynthesis of algae by solar light and decreasing the production of algae considerably. For example, the magnet materials and magnetic materials were put into one of two pieces of water tank contg. well water in an amount such as 8l and these were left standing. As a result, algae propagated considerably in 90hr in the tank contg. the well water alone, whilist the production of algae was not observed even after 90hr in the water tank contg. the magnet materials and the like.
