Abstract

CONSTITUTION: When the trigger pulse electric power source 8 is made on, pulse voltage is applied between a wire 2 and base metal 4 to generate a welding arc 7. At this time, only low pulse voltage determined by impedance ratio of a coupling coil 9, high frequency magnetic body 11, by-pass condenser 12 and condenser 10 is applied to the welding power source 1 and wire device 3, no particular insulation measures is necessary. Since a welding arc 7 is generated following discharge due to this pulse voltage, no contact occurs between the wire 2 and base metal 4, and generation of spatter is eliminated.
