Abstract

PURPOSE:To supply power to a commercial power source system efficiently, by converting AC power of an induction generator to a DC by a separately energized phase control AC-DC converter using a thyristor and by controlling the phase of this AC power to supply advance reactive power of a high adaptability. CONSTITUTION:An induction generator IG rotates by the mechanical output from a prime mover PM, and the AC output is supplied to an AC-DC converter 1. A forced communication function is provided due to a thyristor 101, a diode 102, and a capacitor 103 of the AC-DC converter 1, and the terminal voltage of the generator IG is held in a prescribed value by the advance phase control of the converter 1 for a certain rotation number of a rotor of the generator IG, and the DC output is converted to commercial AC power again through a DC reactor 3 by a separately energized inverter 2 and is supplied to an AC system AC or/and a load L.
