Abstract
PURPOSE: To store the energy of wind, by changing it into the potential energy of a body.
CONSTITUTION: An input wheel 1 and an output wheel 2 are supported by shafts on the top of a tower 6. An endless looped transmission means 5 is wound around the wheels 1, 2. The transmission means 5 is wound around a movable wheel 3 between the wheels 1, 2. The movable wheel 3 is coupled to a heavy body 4 and can be moved up and down. A windmill is installed at the top of the tower. The input wheel 1 is driven by the motive power of the windmill to move the heavy body 4 up. The energy of wind is thus changed into the potential energy of the body 4 so that the energy of wind is stored.
