Abstract

When this part 5 is formed, the margin 6 of the thick part 5 is constituted so that it may be connected smoothly to the surface of the parent pipe 1, and the connected part is finished by means of grinder, etc. When the thick part 5 is formed in one body with the parent pipe 1, the support lug 2 is welded to the thick part 5. In this way, even when any cracks are generated at the margin 4' of the welded part 3, the cracks proceed in the thick part and no damage will be given to the parent pipe 1. The crack generated in the thick part is repaired during the inspection period.
