Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate welding works by fixing divided pieces of a stay vane which are divided along a cross section, on the corresponding annular main plates beforehand and butt-welding divided pieces along divided surface.
CONSTITUTION: On the upper side annular main plate 2, the upper divided piece 41 of a stay vane 4 which is divided into half in the direction of height along the cross section which forms divided surface is welded along the whole circumferential edges of the root part. Also, on the under side main plate 3, the lower part divided piece 42 of the stay vane 4 is welded. Then, these divided pieces 41 and 42 are butt-jointed along welding line 6. Thus, fillet welding in a narrow passage is made unnecessary, and grinding work is simplified, and works can be carried out easily.
