PURPOSE:To detect paper feeding trouble quickly and to perform the transmission of failure alarm and stopping of the receiver, by providing a detector which detects slack of recording paper on a recording paper running path. CONSTITUTION:An operating plane is opposed to a paper feeding roller plane under the recording paper run path between a paper feed roller 3 of a recording paper 2 and a discharge outlet 5 of a reception paper 2a, and a detector 9 to detect the presence of the paper 2 is provided. The paper feeding trouble is alarmed with the output of the detector 9 and the receiver is stopped. Thus, the slack of the paper 2 is quickly detected and useless time and telephone line connection due to paper feed trouble can be prevented.
