Abstract

CONSTITUTION: This material for a PC steel wire or a steel bar contains 0.27W 0.34% C, 0.15W0.60% Si, 0.70W0.90%Mn, ≤0.030% P, ≤0.030% S, 0.010W 0.045% sol. Al, 0.010W0.030% Ti and 0.0010W0.0030% B. Ti is added so as to allow the N equiv. multiple Z of Ti to satisfy the equation (where 14 is the atomic weight of N and 48 is the atomic weight of Ti). When the N equiv. multiple Z of Ti is <1.4, the flaw examination marks are in reciprocal proportion to the multiple Z as shown by the figure. When the multiple Z is ≥1.4, the flaw examination marks are stabilized at a low level.
