Abstract

PURPOSE: To press-fix a dissimilar metal on the surface of a metallic can body or metallic pipe, and improve the productivity of a bottomed composite can body by fitting the metallic can body or metallic pipe onto a punch and impacting the same against a blank of a dissimilar metal inserted into a die.
CONSTITUTION: A bottomed core material 5 is beforehand fitted onto a punch 1, and the blank of a dissimilar metal 6 to be press-fixed to the material 5 is inserted into a die 2. Next, the punch 1 is lowered to accomplish impact extrusion. Then, the blank is press-fixed to the outer side of the material 5 and ascends together with the punch 1 and is removed by a stripper 4. The material 5 is formed as a tubular body having no bottom part, and is mounted to the clearance corresponding to the thickness of the inner side dissimilar metal 6a opened to the punch 1. Next, it is forced impulsively into the die 2 inserted with the blank consisting of the dissimilar metal. Then, part of the blank remains as the bottom part 6b, and the other part enters the clearance between the punch 1 and the core material 5, thereby forming an inner wall 6a.
