Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize frame feed reproduction of high quality with no occurrence of noise bar, by running a tape in a frame feed reproduction mode with a pulse which is synchronous with the rotation of a rotary head succeedingly arrvives after the time point of operation of a frame feed switch. CONSTITUTION:A user operates a frame feed switch in a still mode and in a state under which a tape 14 is stopped at a position where no noise bar is produced. As a result, a pulse arrives from an input terminal 22 to be applied to a divider 25 for resetting via a gate circuit 23 and a waveform shaping circuit 24. Thus the divider 25 produces a pulse synchronously with a drum pulse to be supplied next from a terminal 1. As a result, the tape 14 starts travelling, and at the same time a rotary head travels not cross a boundary between tracks. With this travelling of the rotary head, a control pulse is detected by a control head 15. Thus the tape 14 is stopped at a position where a frame is fed with to occurrence of a noise bar.
