Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to obtain equivalent vertical synchronizing signal without malfuction, in VTR or the like different in speed at recording and reproduction.
CONSTITUTION: Two heads are selected into CH1 and CH2 to the pulse 5a from the selection pulse generation circuit 5. The control pulse detection circuit 6 reads in the control pulse 6a of a given track of the magnetic tape and this triggers the monostable multivibrator 15. The reproduction speed is halved, and the pulse 6a has double period than 5a. The output of the monostable multivibrator 15 is fed to the delay circuit 30. Further, the tape running speed selection switch circuit 16 controls the delay circuit 30 via the delay circuit 17 to gate the signal passing. The pulse 5a, output of the circuit 30 and the signal through the phase inversion circuit 18 are added through the delay circuits 19 and 20 via the AND gates 22 and 24 to obtain the equivalent vertical synchronizing signal and to avoid malfunction by means of suitable usage of delay circuit.
