Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain highly accurate thickness of a compression formed product irrespective of variation of packed quantity of pulverulent body by controlling die position while installing a rod between the cylinder part and die fixing part of a press machine frame. CONSTITUTION:An upper die punch 22 is driven by operation of a ram 14 and compression of pulverulent body held between the upper die punch and a lower die punch 26 is started. Deformation in the direction of parting from each other corresponding to deflection is generated in a press machine frame 2 between a junction 10 of a part where the first rod 42 is pivoted and a die fixing part 8 where the lower end of the second rod 52 is fixed. The first rod 42 is then turned by the second rod 52 in the direction that moves the tip of the first rod downward. Consequently, the detecting position where a limit switch 62 detects the tip of the first rod 42 moves corresponding to compressive force. The switch 62 is operated when the distance between the upper die punch 22 and lower die punch 26 becomes a fixed value. Operation of the ram 14 in the direction of compression is stopped, and fixed thickness of compression formed products can be obtained.
